I've just recorded an interview with a listener who works in a care home looking after young people. He is physically and verbally abused by some of the young peope he looks after every day ("go f*** yourself" is the norm, as is being attacked and spat at).

Steve got in touch with us after hearing two Bolton coppers out on the beat the other week - to tell us if we thought the abuse THEY got was bad, then listen to his story.
You might be one of those people who wouldn't DREAM of getting in touch with us about absolutely anything. But let me tell you what would happen if you did. Your email/call/text would go through the normal editorial process - what is your story about? is it a story? is it true? is it an insight into a world we don't know much about? is it confirmation of something that lots of people are experiencing?
If we wanted to follow it up, we'd then call or email you back and have a chat. We'd check you were legit and you were who you said you were. Then we'd check you really did wanna come on the radio and tell your story. If it was particularly sensitive, we could agree not to reveal your identity, we might even agree to disguise your voice if it was necessary - although sounding like a dalek can detract a bit from what you're saying.
