Series 3 music
How great was The Cut Music Special? Well I would say that given Vicki and I were both involved... but even without that I still thought it was a pretty special special. I hope you all did too. The best bit for me was hearing some important people in the music industry saying what they think about how we use music in The Cut. Plus, the performances at the end of the show were fantastic. A big thank you to Admiral Fallow and Smiler for making the end of the show really unique.
So, with music at the forefront of our minds and as we move speedily through the break before the start of series 3, we were wondered whether you had any recommendations of tracks you'd like to feature in the next series? Feel free to send over your suggestions in the usual way, either by posting them as comments, or emailing us atÌýthecut@bbc.co.uk and we'll read every single one of them, pass them on to the writers and production crew, and you may well hear your music choice being used in Series 3.
And of course keep watching out on the blog for a few sneak previews as the new series approaches.

Brand New have lots of great songs too, like 'Jesus Christ'.
I also agree about some Biffy B sides or older songs. Something from Blackened Sky would be great :)
Or Unicorn Kid, if you want something really happy and energetic. Which probably won't be useful in the first few episodes anyway :/ but oh well :)

The BEST album of all time by Metric called Fantasies. Any song from there would be ace in the Cut I think, especially "Help, I'm Alive" or "Gimme Sympathy" or "Collect Call". What do other peeps think?
