The Cut Music - Week 3

Post categories:

Trev | 11:12 UK time, Sunday, 4 October 2009

Hey Team Cut,

Yet another amazing week has flown by (if you missed it, watch it on iPlayer now - we'll wait).

And, as usual, there's been even more amazing music.Ìý So if you've been scratching your head wondering who sang what this week, wonder no more...

---

Marina and the Diamonds - I Am Not A Robot (brought to you by Â鶹Éç Introducing)

- Stable Song

- Shake Your Pom Pom

- Vibrant Things

- Samson

- Electric Feel

- Wild Flowers

- Eskimo (Jay gives a brief rendition of this in episode 13)

- Plough and Orion

---

And that's your lot. Let us know what you think of the soundtrack so far (Week 1 + Week 2). Anything you'd like to see more/less of?

And don't forget, we've teamed up with Â鶹Éç Introducing, who are all about supporting unsigned, undiscovered and under the radar musicians.

So if you're making music or your mates are in a band and you think you should be heard on The Cut (or other Switch shows like 5:19 or Revealed), then just head on over to bbc.co.uk/introducing, upload your tracks and tag them as Switch.Ìý That way, we'll get to hear them and pick some of them to be in our shows.

You could also get the attention of your local Â鶹Éç Introducing show, or even Radio 1 / 1Xtra (quite a few people listen to them, you know).

Other artists found this way through Introducing have even ended up playing stages at Glasto, Reading, Leeds, Radio 1's Big Weekend, etc...

Basically - if you're in a band, you should go upload your tracks now. That is all.

See you next Sunday!

no comments as of yet? doubt mines the first though, comments are being checked as i type i presume.

any who, love the series, only wish there were also new episodes on the weekend. looking forward to next week's episodes. how many weeks is the series?

had literally, just came on the site to see what other music was featured and it was right on the homepage =)

hearing electric feel got me to start listening to more mgmt which i hadn't in a while, so that was good.

but yeah... loving the music as much as the series, both go really well together - hand in hand. hopefully will be hearing some 'unsigned, undiscovered and under the radar' acts soon enough in the show x

    Hiya,

Dont know if anyone can help, but just heard the advert on the radio for the cut, on Sarah Cox's show. Just wondered if anyones knows the music that is playing in the background of the advert?

can't say i've heard the advert [haven't listened to the radio in ages ]=]

however if it is the same advert as the video [with same music], in the following link [/blogs/thecut/2009/09/getting-close.shtml%5D then it's Artist: The Veronicas Song: Untouched. hope that helped, if not then maybe vicki or trev could shed some light x.
