Inside Sport feedback

Thanks for all your comments.

There was one person unhappy about , feeling the Â鶹Éç was wrong to highlight the drugs issue, whilst not covering cycling all that often.

I would point out that the Â鶹Éç did have some of the rights. It is also hard to think the drugs issue wasn't a worthy one to do on Inside Sport when the Tour de France had experienced a drugs problem for the second year running.

I hope the piece illustrated not only the problem - for example the difference in views about punishment for dopers was neatly illustrated by Millar and Wiggins and reflected again this week, as the Italians and Spanish refused to do Pat McQuaid's bidding on the doping issue - but also showed what some teams are trying to do to combat doping.

As for , we are showing the on Â鶹Éçi, Â鶹Éç TWO and online.

One viewer asks why we're not covering Olympic sports judo and taekwondo… I also have more e-mails asking why we're not covering other sports. All I can say is that in this run we have covered a wide range of sports - football, rugby, cricket, boxing, but also these Olympic sports; sailing, cycling, tennis and athletics... and no doubt in the run up to Beijing we will do some more.

And finally, why did we not have any coverage? Well this is very tricky for us - we don't have the rights.

It's one reason why I was keen to get before the tournament started, so at least we had some cricket on the programme. But the viewer is quite right, we should have highlighted the photos on the newspaper back pages - the clock ran out but we should have made time for that. Apologies.

And there will be another big cricket interview in a few weeks. It will probably be on 5 November - so stay watching!
