I'm the Â鶹Éç's media correspondent and this is my brief selection of what's going on.

The Â鶹Éç and the Advertising Standards Authority is to get new powers to stop misleading claims on companies' own websites and Facebook and Twitter. It already regulates paid-for ads on the web.

The Â鶹Éç unions will announce the result of a ballot for strike action over pension cuts at the Corporation .

The Â鶹Éç said it was pleased the matter had been resolved. It said the allegations were without merit, strongly denied throughout and had been withdrawn by the claimant.
