   I *think* that the rule is that if one takes "Rupert and" out of the sentence and changes the verb to the singular, that has to be correct for the I/me. Doing that, one gets "Here am I just after our 11.00 meeting" so "Here are Rupert and I just after our 11.00 meeting" ought to be right.

   On the other hand "Here is me just after our 11.00 meeting" looks right too in a vernacular sort of way.

   Come to that, since neither of them is actually here (I am alone in this room) what he meant was "Here is [a representation of]/here are [representations of] Rupert and me just after our 11.00 meeting", and "Here is a representation of I" would be definitely wrong. Unless he is from the West Country, in which case it would be dialect. Is Eric from the West Country?
