"The name of the paper is Yedi`ot Aharonot ( Latest News). It is Israel's biggest circulation paper. They have an online version in both Hebrew and English. I found thre item in Hesbrew, but not in English."

The Journalist's name is Sever Plotzker. The title is "Iran's Other Voice".
Summary

Relaxed and cordial conversation in Davos. Khatami publicly displayed a friendly attitude to SP, and said that we have to fight against extremists on both sides.

Khatami joked gently about the scandal of Israel's disgraced [Iranian-born] President Moshe Katzav [accused of rape], who was born in the same city as Khatami.

Asked about the Holocaust-denial conference, he said: "Write exactly what I say. I thoroughly condemn this conference. The calamity of the Jewish people was the greatest sin against humanity in our time. There is not a shadow of doubt about its factuality and extent. I advise all of us to remove this issue from the table of the Israeli-Palestinian and Israeli-Arab discourse. It has no place there. It does not belong to the agenda. It is unparalleled in evil and murderousness. The conflict must be resolved by taking into consideration the interests and wishes of both sides."

On the nuclear issue, he condemned the sanctions. They are unjust and likely to escalate the explosive situation. Issue must be resolved by negotiations. Iran is entitled to develop nuclear energy for peaceful use. We can give guarantees to assuage the fears of our neighbours and the world.

Later he spoke in praise of moderation and democracy. Democracy is compatible with Islam. His aides standing next to him encouraged him to reply to SP's questions. He expressed a wish to visit Israel.

SP was impressed by K's pleasant personality. Good sense of humor. Evidently made of the stuff of great leadership. Speaks fluent English, but preferred to speak via interpreter, for the sake of precision. He parted from SP with the loud greeting "Shalom" (in Hebrew).
