The Â鶹Éç Academy and College of Journalism
Editor's note: Over on the About the Â鶹Éç blog, the Director of the Â鶹Éç Academy Anne Morrison has written a post about the Â鶹Éç College of Journalism's website and the good news that it's now freely available in the UK. The site covers craft skills and ethics and values and there are hundreds of video and audio examples alongside interactive modules where you can test yourself. The site will be available by subscription outside the UK.
In becoming Director of the Â鶹Éç Academy, as well as bringing together all of training and development at the Â鶹Éç for the first time (my first and most obvious task), I've been determined to use the creation of the Academy to raise our ambitions for training within the Â鶹Éç and to be much more explicit and proactive about our role in training the industry. The announcements we have made this week indicate a willingness to look outwards and understand the skills gaps in the industry...
The Â鶹Éç College of Journalism website is a tremendous learning resource with master classes from leading Â鶹Éç journalists like Evan Davis, John Humphrys, Robert Peston, Jenni Murray and Jeremy Vine, craft skills, ethics and values, videos, audio files and interactive modules. We have now made it freely available to everyone in the UK and, in the New Year it will be available by subscription abroad...
