George the Cat

in Ben goes for a Walk

One Monday morning as Mike was just waking up, Ben the dog was eager to go outside. Why did he want to go out because George was sitting by the back door waiting to be let in so he could eat his breakfast. Ben of course had other ideas he wanted to chase him around the garden. 5 minutes later Mike started to walk downstars and came into the kitchen.
“Want to go outside Ben” said Mike
“Woof woof woof!” barked Ben.
Mike then opened the door to let him out and he chased after George but George was to clever because he jumped up onto the bin and eventually Ben left him alone. Ben ran right down to the bottom of the garden to bark at some birds that were up the tree at the bottom of the garden so George just ran straight in and his breakfast was in his bowl but he wasn’t interested in his own breakfast he decided to eat Ben’s.

After George finished his breakfast I mean Bens breakfast he went to see Squeak the Mouse who was nibbling on his piece of cheese. “Good Morning Ben, If you want cheese you’re wasting your time I’m not giving any to you I got this from the shop last night can’t get much better than this!” said Squeak nibbling on his piece of cheese.
“Now look here Squeak when I come to see you I am not always wanting a piece of cheese anyway I have my own food and I will try to get a bit of Mike’s breakfast”said Ben
“So what do you want” asked Squeak
“I just came to say hello” replied Ben
“And know I’m saying goodbye for now” continued Ben and he walked off to see George.
“What’s up Ben” asked George.
“Mike hasn’t taken me for a walk for weeks” explained Ben
“Well it doesn’t bother me I can go where ever I want” said George.
“I will go out your cat flap and escape” said Ben with a smile on his face.
Ben squeezed through the cat flap then managed to jump over the fence which was quite low and ran around the road he was running for about fifteen minutes when he got to a field. He walked carefully along the side of the field as he always did when Mike took him for a walk.

Ben got to a field that had some big cows in he was beginning to get frightened and nervous of these cows but he didn’t know that they were cows because he had never seen them before. He looked at them and was very impressd with their size. As he walked along a cow turned its head around and saw little Ben the dog the cow came charging after little Ben the dog. Ben didn’t know what to do or where to go so when he saw the hedge and got out into the road. He ran back towards the home he decided it wasn’t a good idea to go out on his own and he would never do it again.

Meanwhile Mike was out his front door worried sick about Ben his dog. George the cat though was enjoying Ben not being there “I hope he never comes back again then there will be just him and Squeak. Peace and quiet nearly! Ben was nearly home he recognised where he was from some of the walks that Mike had taken him on. Then he saw Mike and Mike realised he had forgotton for the past two weeks about taking Ben for a walk so when they got inside the house and into the lounge Mike said to Ben “I’m sorry I have forgotton to take you for a walk I will take you out after I have my Breakfast” Mike explained to Ben “woof woof” Ben replied.

Then Mike went off to have his breakfast and Ben explained everything to Squeak the Mouse and George the cat who was not pleased that Ben had come back. Mike and Ben had a lovely walk and Mike didn’t forget to walk him ever again.
