Title: Fix the light

by Francesca from Shropshire | in writing, poetry

I'm looking for inspiration
In the heart of the night
In friends that don't care
And stars that aren't bright.
I'm exploring my limits
And I'm testing my senses
But I've pushed them so hard
I am in fact senseless.

I exhale my soul
In clouds of exhaustion
But i keep on pushing
Until I have fallen.
A fresh kiss each night,
More wasting of time,
Each dance is a drug,
Each drink makes things fine.

I'm sick of the stories
And the what could have beens
I've half changed my heart
And whole changed my dreams.
I believe in chances
But this is my last
These colours won't fade
I've too bright of a past.

After trying so hard
To look for meaning;
I'm lost in my search
For the ultimate feeling.
I took a few wrong corners
All the way back then
And here I find myself
To begin again.

I'm not sure where my inspiration came from for this. I guess i just started playing round with words and it happened. My personal feelings are weaved in there as well I suppose.
