Title: Justifiable love

by Jaia | in writing, fiction

Neeta

Is it not justifiable to be a defeatist once you've been turned down by James, Steve, Aaron, Jaz, the nerdy year11 boy, Simon, Raj, and the lovely oh so edible Shaan, ruler of all sex Gods in 90 mile radius *sigh*? Okay, so I wasn't entirely subtle about the whole process, I mean is declaring my undying love and swearing to do so forever too blunt? I really believe a girl at least deserves a kiss as some kind of consolation prize, a well done for tying type of thing?
But no! So here I am Neeta, 18 years old, straighten my hair, wear excessive eye make up, live to please everyone, fanatic Harry potter fan, unkissed and above all a defeatist.
It's a Saturday morning, I have no plans, so far I've consumed 4 coco pop bars and a bag of Thai sweet chilli crisps. My brother Rahul is blasting Lupe Fiasco from is bedroom while simultaneously working on is triceps, quads, six pack and checking out his immaculately sculpted hair in the mirror. Mum's trial testing her new egg-less omelette recipe- with much difficulty. Dad is training Raja (our dog) to run his home made obstacle course-again with much difficulty, and my little sister Priya is screaming Jay Sean's new song down my ear- definitely with much difficult. I mean I love my family, I really do, but I am just so ridiculously bored with it all. Just sitting, awaiting my golden prince galloping towards me on is noble steed *double sigh*. I like this quaint comfortable happy family feeling, this fuzzy predictable safe place, but I'm desperately looking foe some excitement, something else, something different! Where the hell are the spirits and fairies of my dreams? Take me somewhere I can love!

Shaan

Those curves, the way she moves, her body so beautifully formed, the seductive silence broken by her swift agile movements, so carefully constructed, as if the angels themselves chiselled her from gold'

'Shaan baby do you like my purple dress or pink one?' purred Maya down the phone. Shaan slammed his Autotrader shut, annoyed by his girlfriends' mindless drool. He hated these long phone calls every night, he hated her really. Shaan was with her because she was, well she was fit, there were pro's and con's to every girl he'd thought. Yes she had a naff personality, had the IQ of his 9 year old sister and when asked what her favourite book was she'd chew her lip and squint her eyes desperately trying to recall what a book was. On the other hand she had a very nice bum, a good rack and was the most popular girl in school. If it hadn't been for Maya no-one would have known who Shaan even was, he was a nobody, a nothing a pretty little flower in the background.
