Title: Dreams

by Alex from London | in writing, fiction

Rob is standing leaning against a wall wearing jeans, a grey hooded top and a beanie covering most of his head. He is strumming an acoustic guitar in front of him is a case with spare change spread across it. Rob begins to sing 'Live Forever' by Oasis.

Ian walks past and throws down a few pounds before stopping to listen to Rob more.

Rob: Cheers pal, Oasis fan then?

Ian: Well from time to time, prefer more mellow stuff really.

Rob: See that's the thing, music always brings people of all colours, creeds and cultures together.

Ian: Too bad it can't keep the kid's of these streets

Rob: All they need is a dream and they've got no-one encouraging them these days.

Ian: so what's your dream then?

Rob: Wouldn't mind turning this into a better paid job.

They both laugh

Ian: Well, good luck I guess.

Ian begins to walk away when Rob shouts out to him

Rob: What's your dream then?

Ian stops and turns to Rob with a smile on his face

Ian: I guess I was one of those that were never pushed in the right direction? maybe one day I'll help others dream.

Ian proceeds to leave the stage
