Title: Run in the rain

by Steven from West Yorkshire | in writing, poetry

A black storm crashes against the wall of my conscious. The dark void nurtured inside the storm, bleeds in to my thoughts and falls like a heavy veil over my emotions.

There's no death to speak of, At least, not yet.

Inner hatred is held in so tight my soul bleeds, my body cries out for relief, my cries fall on the deaf ears of thousands.

My love for three never fades, never goes away, love keeps me awake.

If I strain to see past the acrid poison before my eyes, I can almost catch sight of the relief I crave so much, it rests mockingly on a mountain top, cold and bitter, with a price tag hanging from its toe.

A price I can not afford.

Apathy''..
