Focus on Delihla's bedroom; she has just got back from school and she is lying on her bed, day-dreaming.

Delihla: I wish he knew how I felt. Maybe he doesn't like me. Oh god, he's probably just messing with me! I can't stand this!

Delihla bursts into tears and hides her face in her pillow. Focus on other side of split set, Dave's bedroom. He is playing the PS2 with his mate Daniel.

Dave: Damn I love her! But she doesn't seem to like me! Playing it cool isn't a good idea. I can't act normal around her EVER!

Daniel imitates Dave by drawing a love heart in the air and acting really love struck. Daniel laughs and expects Dave to laugh too but he doesn't. He acts really sad.

Dave: Maybe she's only talking to me because she feels sorry for me!

Dave sighs. Daniel turns the PS2 off and turns around to talk to Dave.

Daniel: Nah! If she was like that then why would she stick up for you at school against those bullies? And you both have loads in common! I'm going to phone her right now and ask her out for you'

Dave is extremely alarmed by the thought of asking her out! But Daniel gets Dave's mobile phone and calls her. As soon as she sees its Dave's number she blocks the call. Delihla and Dave both feel bad.
