Title: To a dog

by Cherry from Kent | in writing, poetry

The beast emerges from its cave,
The slimy tail wriggles and waves,

And attaches itself to the cold stone wall,
It raises its head and cries its call,

It crawls on its belly on the castle grounds,
Eating all in its path, all that's around,

And still its belly rumbles,
While the food inside it tumbles,

Then finally in the night,
It has devoured all in sight,

As soon as it started, its energy lacks,
its tail retreats upon its back,

And back again in its cave so deep,
It lowers its head and begins to sleep,

The slithering, sliding, snarling, sloother,
The treacherous thing they call, the hoover.

Well, my dog always attacks the hoover every time I clean up, and I thought how it must think it was some sort of monster. So I wrote a poem about it. ^_^
