Title: Sweet laughter

by Jordan | in writing, non-fiction

The cobblestones feel a different rhythm played across them tonight
There are no thick thumps of people rushing past
Only the light splashing of rainfall and two approaching paces.
Not hurried stomps, in no rush to escape the rain,
No, the cobblestones feel hesitant feet, unsure of where to go.
We have always been a part of rainy days,
The only two walking across courtyards,
While stealing sideways glances at the darker greener world around.
With rain drops caressing the curves of our skin,
And the non-existent sun attempting to warm our chilled bones,
We lean in for a kiss.
Instead, we bump our heads, and burst out with laughter,
In our taste, much sweeter than the taste of lips on lips.

Rain is my favorite weather, and I prefer laughing to kissing anyday. Why not combine the too???
