Title: A review on the all-new Aston Martin DBS

by Chris from Bedfordshire | in writing, non-fiction

"Now, Aston Martin claim this to be a thoroughbred, but when I hear the word thoroughbred, I would think the car to be more flamboyant, and like a Lamborghini, where everything breaks down all the time"
Jeremy Clarkson, Top Gear.

The Aston Martin DBS is a rather unusually brilliant car, but it doesn't fit into any category, and like Jeremy Clarkson stated, it is definitely not a thoroughbred car. As thoroughbreds go, the car must make you feel wild, and like a ten-year-old. However with the calming interior, and built-in Emotional-Control-Unit, makes the DBS seem a little bit over-elegant, and rather a privilege, rather than a solution for Adrenalin-Junkies.
It certainly doesn't lack in speed though; 0-60 in 4 seconds, eventually reaching a speed of over 200MPH.

So the DBS isn't slow, in fact it is magnificently powerful, but its alternative, the Vanquish S, is far better, as it revs higher than the standard car, and it makes the DBS look an Amateur.

Overall, DBS isn't an overwhelming addition to the Aston Martin fleet, but there is one good thing about it;
The DBS certainly makes you smile.
