Title: The Lycan's curse

by Kyra | in writing, poetry

Away from the moonlight he goes, deep in unforgiving shadows he roams,
Bloodlust is all he has known, it keeps the beast satisfied at night.
He knows the deeds he's done are wrong, but the beast within shows him right from wrong,
Ripping frail bodies apart like dolls, sharp fangs glistening in the harsh moonlight.
Their tortured screams beautiful music to his ears, their crimson blood sweet against his tongue.
Seeing once pretty faces smeared along the ground, the beast knows he has won,
The man fights the beast endlessly, knowing deep inside he's fighting a losing battle, crying while moonlight bathes him in white.
Joy filled howls echo among the land drowning out the pleas of help, sending dark to eat the light.
The beast smiles with jagged teeth, the thrill of the hunt fresh in his mind, once pretty amber eyes looking for his next victim in the heart clenching night.
