Title: Benedick's love letter

by Elizabeth from Dorset | in writing, poetry

This growing feeling held inside
This forbidden love I cannot hide
The thought of you brings a smile to my face
This wondrous love, I wish to embrace

You bring happiness to my rainy days
Your heart is the sun, shining thousands of rays
You hold the key to my devoted heart
When I look upon you, I think of art

Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind
And with my mind, I am trapped in a bind
Love is blind, and I cannot see
All I can see, is you and me

An eternity is forever, and forever with you
Would be an unbelievable dream come true.
I have been bitten by the big, red love bee
When Cupid shot his arrow he aimed for you and me

With roses I come, for to me you are that
You are beautiful Beatrice, like fire to a cat.
Please, rendezvous with me tonight at eight
I know it is not your thing, to go on a date.

By the old tree, at the back of the garden
If you wish not to come, beg me the pardon
For if you do not feel the same way
I will see you, tomorrow day.

You are enchanting
By you I am intrigued
Beatrice I love you
It's you I need
