Title: Purple and blue

by Kirsty from Essex | in writing, fiction

Your skin is bruised. Purple and blue. Your hands are cold, icy cold. The cold burns through my hot skin and freezes my veins. I look to your face. Purple and blue. Always, purple and blue. They had pushed you to the edge of that dirty, filthy pavement. Like a dog. You lay amongst the litter, in that darkened gutter. The night had emptied the sky of colour, and in this almost black and white vision, I can see. Purple and blue.
