In the beginning there was Mother Nature with her two sisters; Peace and Love. They cared for the world and were known as the Benign Females. The three of them nurtured Spirit and studied Care and Trust: these were the Life Elements. The sisters lived in harmony with the world high up in the thermosphere and right down to the core. Whereas the sisters lived happily the Apocalypse Brothers came up to the world from their dominion of the dead. That place was something much worse than infernal; it was something that was lifeless. Death, War and Plague came when there were massacres, dreadful epidemics, floods and fires that left people homeless and landscapes barren. The brothers guarded the impulses of Fear, Pain and Starvation: the Destruction Elements.
Long before the universes were created and took shape to be the universes as you and I know them, somewhere in a cluster of Galactic dust, between bits of star yet to be formed, where gluons were joining quarks the six Guardians of the Elements met with Lady Destiny. She was a woman with black hair and skin the colour of coffee and her eyes resembled two bits of sky. The Lady spoke with a gentle and calm but powerful voice: 'Sisters and Brothers. To you Females I give you the powers to Love and Care and Create everything and everyone, but I foresee the race of Humans you shall Care and Love will be the traitors and the End of everything you Create. For that reason I give you, Brothers, the powers to Destroy, of being Reckless and of Murdering everything harmful or dangerous to the things the Sisters shall Create. When the time is right you, Brothers, will annihilate every Human. So it'll be.' That was how the Lady ended her speech. Suddenly a dim, bluish light emerged from her eyes, and as everything fell silent and nobody moved the Lady's body turned completely into a dull grey stone except for her hair. Her magnificent coal-black hair remained intact. At her feet lay a brass plaque saying: Statue of Kronos. Forward to Eternity.
Billions and trillions of years passed and the Benign Females saw with great enthusiasm as everything they Created flourished and grew. They sent to the Earth the ability for humans to master fire, to hunt, to communicate, to invent, to grow crops, to build... but most importantly they received the gift to be able to love. It was a pity to see how many people didn't realize they were extremely lucky to be able to Love and to feel the warmth of Care. At first they allowed the first humans to live a few hundred years just in case the race wasn't entirely capable of coping with its environment. After that they saw humans just got bored if they lived thousands of years and that the world needed new discoveries, more opinions and more people. So the Sisters created more people and made a pact with the Brothers telling them they could bring Death to the World every year and kill those who had lived long enough. All was well in the next hundreds of years but the Brothers weren't happy with their repetitive task. One day the Apocalypse Brothers decided to rebel against the Females. Death sent Fear to humans, making them rebel against Nature. War ordered Pain into the Spirits of people and Plague punished the inhabitants of the World by Starving them. That was how the Ages of Darkness begun.
