Title: Grateful

by Kawthar from London | in writing, poetry

I watch you
Warm in your sofa
Sitting here in the blue

You're warm and depressed
I'm cold and content

You're safe yet paranoid
I'm lost, in the open,

In designer dresses you strut
Yet, each night you look for something new

In my lined bin bag
I have walked and slept
Yet I'm thankful

I live on hope;
For tomorrow

You dread the day to come
With the zit nestled on your nose

You have everything
Everything I can only dream of
But it is discarded
To be unworthy.

I have nothing
Yet I'm grateful;
For life
