I look at you,
Those eyes, they strike me hard,
They glow with such a friendship,
Such a love,
It is second to none.
Then you smile,
A smile with such warmth and compassion,
And a love,
It is second to none.
You put your arms out,
The signal to embrace,
So I do,
A hug second to none.
You move away,
Like I knew you would,
And my dream is broken,
A dream second to none.
I turn and talk to friends,
You join in,
And I realise, this is how it's always going to be,
A friendship second to none.
All these things,
I try to achieve with you or for you,
But can you tell?
Is it second to none?
I'm in love with you,
And I always will be,
Because you're you,
You're second to none'
I loved her. Simple as that. In some ways I still do. I don't think I could ever not love her.
