Introducing Edd - South West rep
Hello everyone! I'm Edd and I'm this year's Youth Panel Ambassador for the South West. I'm currently sitting my final exams for A Levels and getting ready to go to university next year to study Media Practice.
Live production is pretty much my life. I love presenting radio, I'm currently station manager for a school radio station and present a few shows for it too. I've also been the lead presenter on a teen focused debate show for a community radio station in Bristol, which was a truly amazing experience!
My other love is doing the tech for live events. I work as a lighting / sound designer and vision mixer doing all kinds of gigs and events, ranging from awards ceremonies, dance showcases, plays right though to music festivals!
I really enjoy meeting and working with new people, sharing ideas and coming up with new exciting things. My dream job is to work for the Â鶹Éç doing something involved in production.

Cubed
This film "Cubed" was made by a group who took part in the 'Film in two days' session at the Blast tour in Truro. I think it is very cleverly filmed, showing good technical and storytelling skills. The story itself is funny. You definitely need to watch this.

Reading in the woods by Jess
The whole image looks peaceful and tranquil, in my mind showing how life should be. I like how the colours add to the natural aspect of this photo and how the focusing slowly fades as you look into the distance.

Discombobulated light by Ross
Ross achieved this image after playing around with his shutter speed in the car. I like how the lines are all fluid and rapid in their movement; they perfectly reflect motion.
-
Sebastian the bee by TesterBoy
This just caught my eye and made me laugh the first time I saw it, so I wanted to share it with all of you. I just love the comical smile on his face and how his arm is in the air celebrating.
-
Tramp by Will
I just thought this polystyrene sculpure was really creative. To me it reflects the way in which some people have to live in-between normal society. I love Wil's choice of how and where to set the scene.

Nobody's Home: The Sims 3 by GothBlackRose
I really admire how GothBlackRose managed to tell a story through the use of a new medium (the Sims) and combined this with clever editing to make the narrative fit with the song seamlessly. Even without the character speaking you could follow the story.
