I chose Ed Sheeran because his style of music is very much the style of music I most listening to and loved his intention of 芒聙聹painting music芒聙聺. Just like with my El Policia design I went back to Ed芒聙聶s interview and took notes on his inspiration and what he thought his sound was. Overall I got the message that he loved the use of a mixture of colours and that his lyrics were the most important thing to him in that he wants to make people think when listening to his music. Therefore when creating my album cover I wanted to make his lyrics one of the main sources of focus as well as a good use of colour. Firstly after looking at his musical inspirations album covers and other artists芒聙聶 album cover who had a sound similar to his I found that many of them used a close up shot of the musician. As a result I did the same with Ed and used Photoshop to repeat the image of him but with a slightly less fill to create rhythm. Next I used a Photoshop artist, gritty affect on the portrait to convey his acoustic sound portrayed though his guitar. Afterwards I added in some of his lyrics from his various songs so portray his feeling of importance of his lyrics with a green background and gritty textured strip to give balance and rhythm to the other greens on the cover and to again convey the grittiness of his sound. Lastly I added in the text in which I wanted to further present his gritty sound and so I did it in a doodle scribbled affect. Moreover I did it in purple to infer the richness of his music and emphasize it over the other elements of the design.
