Digital Painting and Composition. First time working with photo, The rose was taken from a photo and repainted, I then painted in freehand the scruffy little bird. Quite sweet really.

      Hi Blast Team! Thank you for featuring my work.

      My husband took the photo of a peach/white rose in a local park. I put the photo into photoshop and divided up the rows of petals into segments and coulorized the saturation. I then used the paintbrush and repainted over the petals to smooth the edges and add some highlights. Increasing the saturation really brought out the colours into the foreground.
      The bird was painted in with the same palette to compliment the image and add a bit of interest.
      I do agree it turned out a little bit romantic.
