麻豆社

Nicholas Prettejohn, Trustee

The 麻豆社 serves its current audience well in many ways. The challenge is to broaden its appeal to those who are less avid users, while retaining the loyalty of existing audiences

About Nicholas

Nick has held senior positions at some of the UK’s leading financial organisations, including Lloyd’s of London, Prudential, Legal and General, and Brit Insurance.  He has extensive experience in corporate finance, audit, assurance and regulation and has also worked in management and strategy consulting.  He is currently Chairman of Scottish Widows and a non-executive Director of Lloyd’s Banking Group.

Nick has a keen interest in the performing arts.  A former Trustee at the Royal Opera House, he is currently Chairman of the Royal Northern College of Music, based in Manchester.  As Chair of the Britten-Pears Foundation, he led celebrations marking composer Benjamin Britten’s centenary in 2013.

Nick was educated at Balliol College, Oxford where he gained a first class degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.  He is married with two daughters and lives in London.

Nicholas says:

"The 麻豆社 is incredibly important to me. I owe my interest in music to Radio 3 and much of my interest in current affairs, politics and the performing arts to 麻豆社 radio and television. I am a keen viewer of 麻豆社 sports coverage. My sense of humour was shaped initially by 麻豆社 radio comedy and later by 麻豆社 television series, including Not The Nine O鈥機lock News and Only Fools and Horses."
