Photograph

Contributed by Nicolas Clennett

This is a photograph of Thomas Bratton and his family taken by Robert Clennett, professional photographer based at 25 1/2 Lynn Street, West Hartlepool. In the photograph with Thomas is his wife, Elizabeth (nee Everton) with children Elizabeth, John and Beatrice. So why is this photograph so interesting? The photograph was taken by my great grandfather on my father's side and the subject is my great grandfather on my mother's side. At the time of the photograph my grandmother had not been born, her older siblings are in the photo. Little did either of my great grandfathers know two of their grand children would be marrying each other some 70 years later!!
