This was my Father's - for getting underground quickly. It symbolises what he had to do on The Somme and at Passchendaele. It now sits on my kitchen wall. It reminds me of the stupidity of war and of patriotic religion. It seems extraordinary to me that we should invent a God and then proceed to take his name in vain for the purpose of a pointless war.
