Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II

Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II

Reminds me of the procession with the Gold Coach going past our school group on Victoria Embankment.
Copies of this book were presented to children at school in the London County Council Borough of St Pancras to celebrate the Coronation. I was attending Argyle Street School in 1953. Lots were drawn to pick the group of children who would go to the route of the procession. On the day, we were each given a packed lunch and taken by green LCC school buses to Victoria Embankment just upriver of Waterloo Bridge. A memorable day.
