Hoxne, Suffolk has a fascinating pre-history. The University of Chicago had an annual dig there for many years. The wife of the US president (Ladybird Johnson) visited the site. We found this flint tool (circa BCE 10.000) in our garden.
When I fit my thumb in the depression I feel a connection with the woman who used it a ten thousand years ago.
