The land which now holds 6 houses was sold for £295.00 which must have been a lot of money back then. I can imagine a dark, smoky pub with men sitting around. An auction has just taken place to sell the land which my house and my neighbour's houses now stand on. It was farm land before our house was built in the 1950's.
