These photographs come from an album belonging to the Craxford family. The photographs were all taken by Charles William Craxford who travelled all over Yorkshire taking some wonderful photographs in the early part of the last century.
On the whole he travelled everywhere on foot and it's thought he probably used one of the very early 'portable film cameras'which were in their infancy around then.
The photographs capture beautifully the Edwardian era and these examples show Charles himself and the other members of his family at Bolton Wood near Skipton.
