These boxes were New Year 1900 presents from Queen Victoria to the troops in the Boer War in South Africa. They marked the start of a century of modern war.The chocolates were made by Cadbury, sadly no longer British.
This box was given to my Grandfather, at the time incarserated in Ladysmith, then under siege.

I recently found one, unfortunately the chocolates had been eaten.
Any ideas as to its worth today?
