Contributed by National Assembly for Wales

This bag was owned by Dr John Henry Williams of Barry. In 1928 he took over a private general practice in Barry.

His son, Dr David Williams, joined him as partner in 1962 and succeeded to the practice in 1965 when his father resigned from the NHS.

This item is on loan to the Pierhead from Dr David Michael Jeremy Williams, MB, BCh, MD and the Museum of Health and Medicine for Wales.
