A Brass Bell

Contributed by Blackthorns CP School

This bell belonged to my great great grandmother. Her name was Laura. She
was born in the 1880's in Bishop Auckland, Durham and she died in 1970.
She had a maid and she was middle class with a large house which was not unusual in those days. She also had six sons but sadly two died in world war II.

The bell has been passed down the generations and I still use it today in my playhouse! This bell was used for when Laura wanted the maid to do a job.
